a collaborative two-day floral intensive led by Trille Floral & Winsome Floral
November 7th & 8th
at the Brooklyn Boathouse
As summer slips away, we find ourselves giving into this new season. Buttoning up our jackets, throwing on another blanket and breathing in the crisp, golden days. With this change in season comes richer, deeper colors and textures. Botanicals become bronzed and our aesthetic leans towards this changed mood, transforming our designs from the electric palettes of Summer to a new temperament, one juxtaposed between the last glowing light and our earth freezing over. This final farewell to balmy days is a most treasured time of year, AUTUMN.
come celebrate this cherished and fleeting season with us in New York City on November 7th and 8th, 2023
Autumn in New York is a design based floral class taught in collaboration by Courtney of Winsome Floral and Cara of Trille Floral. Over two inspiring days we will share our signature romantic and modern design aesthetic. Delving into how we build our color palettes, choosing the correct ingredients and how we achieve a light and airy feel to all our designs.
our itinerary
Both days will be held in Brooklyn, at the historic Boathouse located in Prospect Park. We’ll gather together for lunch and then settle in for our first 2 flower classes. Cara will demonstrate how to design a rambling table arrangement and Courtney will demonstrate how to design a romantic bouquet. Then with assistance and guidance, the students will create their own.
The following day we will meet again at the Brooklyn Boathouse where we will draw from our learnings the previous day and together create two large scale foam free Ceremony installations. Upon completion, all bouquets and installations will be photographed with a professional model. Arrangements will be photographed on a styled tablescape for portfolio and social media use. Beverages and snacks will be provided throughout the day. As dusk settles in, our time together will conclude with a beautiful farewell dinner in a local restaurant.
Early the next morning, with fresh pastries and coffees in hand, we will meet for an optional guided tour through the New York City Flower Market in Manhattan. This experience offers students a unique opportunity to learn the intricacies of buying flowers wholesale in a market setting.
This class is designed for experienced florists. Whether you are looking to freshen up your skills, add to your portfolio, or reset and reinspire after a busy season, our hope for this class is that we will build on a sense of community that has been forming in the industry and that each student will leave a little more in love with flowers.
